Clay Jacobs was raised in the farming community of New Home, Texas, where he grew up singing in church and learned to play guitar and piano along with the country music of the 1980's. Clay has combined the country sound he grew up on with the story of a love that only our Savior could show, and the result has been a ministry simply called "GOD'S COUNTRY"....
Clay is blessed to be able to minister and play in many churches and other areas, spreading the message and songs that Christ has laid on his heart. Clay has just released a new CD featuring 12 original Christian Country songs called, "I PICK JESUS." The CD includes 8 songs written by Clay, plus the contributions of Shane Brooks and Canadian Country Music Artist Paul Brandt. This project is the second of Clay's released produced by Ken Holloway. In April, 2005 Clay released TRY SOMETHING NEW, which contained 7 songs written by Clay and songs by Shane Brooks and Justin Todd Herod. "It has been amazing to see God work around us through this music... He continues to open doors for His word to be heard." In June 2006, Clay was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a nerve disorder that can, at times, be a challenge for being on the road, and dealing with day to day life. Clay knows that God has this under control, and is using this circumstance to glorify GOD. New opportunities for ministry have opened up, giving Clay the opportunity to show others that "HIS power is made perfect in our weakness. "I still do not know what God has in store, but I know that He has placed a calling on my life, and there are those who need to hear the word, and that is what it is all about."
